The whale image in Native American lore represents strength and leadership. The Orca, or Killer Whale, is the strongest and fiercest of whales. The strength of the Orca whale image on this medallion is shown in the movement of its body and the turbulence of the water tones in the background. The medallion is done on a leather backing and secured to a two-toned braided neckband with tubular Peyote bead trim.
