ST Grooved BFV                                 

This ST butterfly valve can be used with any standard grooved mechanical piping system.  These systems use bolted mechanical couplings to join together the components with grooved ends.  The ST Series Grooved butterfly valve is a tight shut-off valve that is designed, manufactured and tested to MSS SP-67 and ANSI class 150 standards.  It consists of an epoxy coated ductile iron body and an EPDM or (NBR) Nitrile BUNA rubber encapsulated disc for a resilient seated shut off up to 300psi.
  • Available with a 10 position locking lever handle or a worm gear operator.
  • End to end dimensions meet MSS SP-67 table 4
  • End connections: Grooved to ANSI/AWWA C-606
  • Pressure Rating: 300psi (non-shock cold water)
  • Maximum Service Temperatures:
  • 180°F / 82°C (EPDM) – Potable Water Service
  • 230°F / 110°C (EPDM) – General Service
  • 150°F / 65°C (Nitrile/NBR)
  • 400°F / 200°C (Viton® fluoroelastomer)

 

Material Specifications:

Valve Body & Disc: 

  • Ductile iron ASTM A536, Gr. 65-45-12

Valve Body Coating:

  • Epoxy Powder Coating, blue color.

Disc Coating:

  • 180°F / 82°C (EPDM) – Potable Water Service
  • 230°F / 110°C (EPDM) – General Service
  • 150°F / 65°C (Nitrile/NBR)
  • 400°F / 200°C (Viton® fluoroelastomer)

Upper and Lower Shafts:

  • 410 stainless steel material.

Shaft Seal Bearing: 

  • Teflon (PTFE)

Lever Handle:

  • Ductile iron ASTM A536, Gr. 65-45-12, epoxy coated.
