This aluminum streetlight has 18 super bright 1 watt Nichia LEDs which are the most efficient LEDs we sell. Light dimensions are 55cm x 25cm x 25cm, and weighs 9 Kg (20 lb), This LED streetlight is suitable for lighting a driveway or lane and uses only 18 watts of power. A 60 – 80 watt Solar (photovoltaic) panel and battery with controller are usually mounted on the same pole, pv panel and batteries and controller are not included. These completely sealed units have 2 yellow LEDs that run off a super capacitor that is charged by a small solar panel during the day. Great to mark paths, steps, swimming pool edges or driveways. The markers must be placed in an area that generally receives sun during the day, however they even work well with light overcast days. This MPPT (maximum power point tracking) controller regulates the power from the solar panel to charge (5amps max) the battery using PWM (pulse width modulation). The controller also turns the streetlight On & Off by time or outside light, the controller will also turn the light off if battery voltage is too low. The controller will conserve energy by reducing the light to 2/3 brightness after 4hrs and to 1/3 brightness after 6hrs.
