A COMPETITIVE BUSINESS NETWORKING GOLF TOUR
BUSINESS GOLF TOUR A COMPETITIVE BUSINESS NETWORKING GOLF TOUR LAUNCHING FALL 2009 IN FLORIDA SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES WHAT IS THE BUSINESS GOLF TOUR? The Business Golf Tour is a series of golf tournaments for business people for the purpose of competitive golf and networking. FORMAT The format for play is a 2-person florida Scramble. You and your teammate select the best drive and then play your own ball in from there. you take your team's best score on each hole, using your handicap. Prizes will be awarded for team play at each event. There will also be a points system used for determining top teams for the season, similar to the PGA Tour's Fedex Cup. Each Event, your team will partner with a different twosome, giving you a chance to network with other business leaders. 36 teams of two will compete in eight events in Florida between Fall and Spring 2009/2010.
The top 10 teams from each tour city will be invited to the business golf tour championships in the Spring of 2010 where a national champion will be crowned and more networking will take place! The tour is owned by The Business Golf Connection. BGC is a leading golf event management and consulting firm headquarted in Morris County, New Jersey. WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO JOIN? Executives and entrepreneurs are eligible to join the tour. The tour will include 36 tow-person teams per city. If an event is not sold out within 60 days of the event date, Tour members from other cities can fill the remaining slots. Non-tour teams can fill emplty slots within 45 days of an event.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO JOIN? There is no fee to join the tour. BUT, there are only 36 team slots available in each tour city so it is very exclusive. Tour members pay $199 per event x the number of events in a season (usually 8 - 12 events). Teams that are invited to the national tour championships pay an additional fee to participate.
