Glass Mosaic Class Fee

A 3-4 week class where you'll finish one mosaic using the poured method and one using the direct method. Tools/supplies required. Discounted class fees available if purchasing tools from me. 10% discount on all tools/supplies available during class periods or when purchased at registration. It is only necessary to purchase two sessions at a time, but paying for the full 3-4 week period is an option. Class sizes limited.

After taking a beginning mosaic glass class, students are anxious to move on to other projects. Taking additional glass mosaic sessions, I can guide you through more elaborate projects, like a backsplash for your kitchen, mosaic table tops, or mosaicing found objects like the car shown here. This 3'x4'x7' car was designed and fabricated by, Pat Deere, owner of Pictures In Glass for the 2005 CarTunes on Parade project coordinated by the Windsor Endowment For The Arts. This car was sponsored by General Motors, was purchased at auction, and is now on display at the Detroit Opera House in their parking structure.

A gift certificate for a mosaic glass class is a great gift for the "crafter" in your life who is looking for a stimulating experience. Enjoy!

Sign up for one day or a series of days for this truly unique mosaic class. When my husband brought home a female manican, he intended to use it for target practice. The artist in me said, no way. This is an awesome find. I'll find a better use for it.

In Tecumseh each year, there is an art bra auction held at The Purple Pear Tree. One of my donations to the auction was the art bra shown here, using fused glass and brass filigree.

If you are trying to decide where to spend money when purchasing your initial stained glass tools, I feel a good cutter is worth the money spent. You can purchase throw away cutters that will do the job for a short period of time, but a good cutter will last a long time, has replaceable heads, and is comfortable to hold. Although there are many cutters to choose from, and usually it's a matter of preference among well made cutters, this is the one I use most often.

I use a Toyo Comfort Grip cutter most often now, but as a beginner I liked the feel of the Pistol Grip cutter the best. Many stained glass artists have a variety of cutters they use if they continue working with glass.
