A glass grinder is not a necessity, but after taking any stained glass class, you will find that it really does make life easier and you will most likely want one. This is another good basic grinder with a little more power than the Wizzling, I use them in my studio all of the time. If you are a person who doesn't need all of the added accessories, this is a good, well built grinder, from a company with a good warranty, at a good price.
