Welcome to WES (Wyoming Extraction Service)
WES is an online service provided by Phoenix Learning
Systems in part with the Wyoming Department of Education that
facilitates extraction of data from district PowerSchool Servers
throughout the state. Phoenix Learning has created a tool that, with
an ODBC connection to a district PowerSchool Server, can pull state
reporting information directly to the end-user's computer. This method
of extraction has several advantages over other methods.
1. End user doesn't need to setup or maintain the connection or update any software, WES is an online service.
2. All school districts will use the same rules for extraction and reporting.
3. Any updates to forms or reports can be done simultaneously for all users state-wide.
4. The Wyoming Department of Education has paid for the service.
5. New reports can be added quickly.
The
primary goal of the service is to provide a means to extract non-SIF
data reports. However, we plan to add all reports that can be done via
PowerSchools collection of data.
