Security Guard
Security Guard is the easy way to manage page permissions for PowerSchool®. PowerSchool software provides the powerful capability to limit web page access for individual web pages based on groups and permissions. Managing these permissions from within PowerSchool requires time consuming effort to open each page individually and set permissions for each group on that page. In addition, there is no easy way to view which pages have assigned access for a given group.
Security Guard provides the ability to view and manage those permissions in an easy to use, organized fashion. With drag and drop features and organized file structure, permissions and groups can be viewed, modified, and duplicated quickly.
With Security Guard, you begin by loading your directory structure from a copy of your Admin folder and then importing your existing groups and security settings.
Then, just click, drag and drop to easily assign the access you need. These changes are then exported and placed back into PowerSchool. When you need to make additional changes in the future, open Security Guard, update the settings and import to PowerSchool.
