Artist Biography - Lawrence Stechschulte
Lawrence
Stechschulte was born in 1933 in northwest Ohio. Beginning as a small
child his father taught him how to work with wood. He began making toy
boats and gradually over the years progressed into building custom
furniture and cabinets. Now retired he tinkers in his shop and designs
one-of-a-kind custom wood bowls, vases and cups. Utilizing native and
exotic woods like walnut, oak, maple, cherry, purple heartwood and
spalded maple he creates unique items that blend design elegance with
functionality.
