UTAH FC Soccer Club
Mission Statement

The UC Strikers Soccer Club has one simple mission statement that guides us:

To enhance, assist, and cultivate the sport of soccer in Utah County. Using these words as the catalyst for the direction of the organization, the following five priorities are used to guide the activities of the UC Strikers Soccer Club with each priority of equal importance.

- Support the long-term development of the Sport to the highest level
- Support Gender Equity throughout the Sport
- Promote participation by the economically disadvantaged
- Foster programs which provide health, physical fitness and educational opportunities through Soccer
- Support the construction of fields and Soccer specific infrastructure

Upon these building blocks, the UC Strikers has developed three platforms to assure achievement of its stated mission:

- Field Development
- Urban Programming
- Player Development

UC Strikers Coaching Philosophy

The UC Strikers Soccer Club's goal is to provide a comprehensive program that fully develops UC Strikers as soccer players and as productive and good citizens.

The Club's philosophy and policies have been designed to provide a win win result for every young man and young woman who participates in the Club's program. These philosophies and policies are believed to provide the highest probability for player advancement to High School, ODP, College and Professional Levels.

The Director of Player Development will enforce that all coaches within this organization teach the proper technical, tactical, physical and emotional skills at each age level.

As a coaching staff our philosophy will be to properly teach and mentor each child to see and realize his/her potential. Each individual within the club will be given the best possible training thus helping the advancement of each player.

To accomplish these goals, the Club subscribes to the following philosophy: Excellence in all matters. EXCELLENCE isn't everything. IT IS THE ONLY THING!

All coaches shall at least posses a USSF "D" coaching license and will have executed a contract with the club. All coaches within the UC Strikers Staff will be subject to evaluation and voted in by the board of directors. If a coach has an incident which may jeopardize the standing of our club and has broken any rules stated in the coaches code of conduct, he/she will be subject to removal by the board of directors.
