The telescoping design is the secret to making this ramp so easy to use. Just slide-it-out to use and slide-it-in to stow. No clumsy folding and unfolding required. Durable, non-slip carpeted surface gives your dog a comfortable, sure footing, plus its easy to clean. To use the Pet Ramp, simply set the angled upper end on the surface to which your pet is trying to climb, depress the release tab under the inner slide, then pull out the inner slide to the required length and set it on the ground. The advanced design of the ramp "locks itself" when weight is applied, so there is no need for extra devices to lock the ramp in position. Weighs just 20 lbs is 18" wide, stable design plus rubber feet hold the ramp in place while in use. Training: Many pets will begin using the Pet Ramp with no hesitation. If your pet is unsure at first, lay the Ramp flat on the ground and allow your pet to become comfortable walking on it before using it in an inclined position. It also helps to hold your pet by the collar and offer reassuring praise and/or treats as your pet gains confidence using the Ramp. For vehicle use, command your pet to stay inside the vehicle until the Ramp is deployed, then walk your pet down safely For Swimming Pool Use: The Ramp is best used in depths of 3 feet or less. First, drill ¼” holes in each corner at the “bottom” end of both the inner and outer sections. Extend the Ramp and lay the inner section on the water. The Ramp will fill with water in about a minute and come to rest on the bottom of the pool. Set the top of the Ramp on the edge of the pool to use. When finished, remove the Ramp from the pool and keep in a vertical position to drain. Keep in mind the Ramp will be heavy until the water drains out.
