QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
Q: What is Miss Earth?
A: Miss Earth is an international system and one of the 3 major pageants in the world! Over 80 countries compete in the world finals each year, including the United States.
Miss Earth contestants compete in swimsuit, evening gown and interview rounds. Once they win the title, they work year round as ambassador of good causes, especially environmental and humanitarian efforts.
Miss Earth stands for strong family and community values and enpowerment. Our pageants recognize not only the physical appearance of contestants but their intelligence, leadership quality and altruism.
The pageants are for young women with a drive to succeed in their personal and professional lives and the will to make a difference in the world. Our contestants are beautiful inside out and role models in action.
If you are looking for a pageant that looks beyond appearances and acknowleges women for more than a pretty face, then Miss Earth is for you!

Q: What does "environmental focus" mean? Does that mean I have to be an expert on that topic?
A: Some pageants support specific charities or causes and the winners use those causes as their pageant platform. In our case, it means our winners work in promoting different environmental and humanitarian efforts in Florida, like the protection of animals, reusing items to donate to underprivileged families, preserving our beaches and the Everglades and similar efforts. Our mission is to educate others on how to protect our resources and how to help one another, as well as become leaders in our communities among other causes we support. You are NOT required to know about the topic or have any experience. We just require you have the will and motivation to become a great role model.
