Well, here I am. It's been 7 weeks since I retired fro the two way radio repair business and I haven't gone crazy yet. Hah! (...or have I?) I thought by now I would go into some sort of regression or, even depression....but no....I seem to be doing okay with the whole thing. However, I must publicly apologize to the few former customers that didn't get the news. They ended up sending me radios for repair and I have to admit...for a moment, I was tempted to go ahead and fix them....but, come to find out, temptation isn't all that hard to beat.
So, I've been three weeks into this 'retirement' mode and I haven't lost my mind yet. I have to say, there's a kind of uneasy feeling. No phones to answer, no bookworks to take care of.....weird! But, I still sit at the ol' service bench and putz around now and again. There's always something that needs straightening out. Always something to productive to do.
In fact, I'm starting to go through some drawers and clearing off some shelves and in the process, I'm finding little gems here and there.
This is the area where you, the public get to ask questions or make comments on the subject of two way radio communication equipment. Use your imagination. Tell me what kind of trouble your having, or, tell us how two way helped you radio solved a problem. Maybe you have an application for two way that I've never heard of. Whatever you'd like to post, I'd love to hear from you.
