Dispelling Illusions

 Dispelling Illusions

By Deb Schnitta

This is a time of great change, of openings and awakenings. We are poised as humanity to open to our greatness, to create life fully and to honor the creations of others. It is part of why we have each come here, to contribute to the awakening through our own thoughts, our actions and if we choose our own evolution.

As we each open, we create the opportunity for the fullness of our light to be here, now. We step away from what no longer serves us and we pause from the habituated patterns of the past, even if that past was but a moment ago. It is easy to lose sight of what a transformative time this is. It is easy to forget who we truly are and fall under the density of fear and lack, attributes of the past, elements of polarity that keep us engrained in repeating the past.

Perhaps it is a large global event such as the upcoming presidential election in the United States that provides the opportunity to recognize what is possible. Or it may be something very personal, such as an unexpected illness or change in job. Regardless of the external partner to our growth, we are given the environment to recognize our internal value, our light. How we chose to do what we do is as important as what we choose to do. At times, it may actually be more important than the act itself.

When we come from remembrance of who we truly are, we live a life devoid of limitations. This does not mean that we do not still encounter events in daily life, expressions of form and matter and of other people’s creations that are challenging. It does mean that how we respond to those challenges and opportunities is entirely up to us.

Often when we are faced with an obstacle or limitation that is of our own unconsciousness it seems larger than it truly is, it seems insurmountable.  Caught in the habitual relationship with what we perceive, we don’t recognize what is transpiring or how to do thing differently. And yet the key to changing any obstacle is so small.

I was reminded of this the other day as I came upon a small grey mouse struggling in the grass. He lifted his body upward, squealing as I walked toward him. His feet were buried in the grass and his upper body twisted eagerly in an exhausted dance. I went inside to grab some tools, wondering how this mouse was stuck in a hole. Although I have an irrational fear of things that crawl fast and might surprise me as they run up my sleeve, I could do nothing other than help.

Imagine my surprise as I pulled the grass back only to discover that what stood between this mouse and freedom was three strands of grass. Three thin, barely noticeable to you or I strands of grass. No big monster, no snake holding it in its grasp, three strands of grass.

Now of course to be fair, a mouse’s legs are thin, and three strands of grass wrapped to the legs and tail can hold down, well the weight of a struggling mouse. This mouse had efforted to the brink of exhaustion. And I needed much smaller tools than I had brought to release the hold of three strands of grass. Delicately I worked to unwind the morass of grass, entwined around his belly and tied in knots. I soon discovered one of his back legs was broken. I don’t know which came first, the broken leg or the knots of determined grass. Either way my tiny charge lay immobile. Defeated by three strands of grass he now opened eagerly to the support of Cellular Expansion and Healing. His field cleared, his breathing changed and his leg moved back into alignment.

I was struck throughout the day about how our own patterns can seem insurmountable. If we don’t step back we might just keep efforting until we, break something… I realized the image of the mouse needing help from something larger ( with opposable thumbs!) illustrated so beautifully how the personality needs the Soul, to get out of its own way, to open to what is next and to release those three little blades of grass.

May all your obstacles be seen in perspective. May your heart open freely today to the warmth and support of another. And may we each remind one another through our actions and our orientation how rich we truly are.

To support the evolution of the personality and the suppleness required, we suggest the Vanati Energy Program, Transforming the Personality. A step by step series of teachings and energy meditations to assist the personality in gaining clarity about emotions as well as releasing the limiting constructs of past experiences with these emotions, Transforming the Personality opens the Awakening personality and Soul to deeper connection and union.
