Helping the Personality Choose Ease: Inviting Higher Flows

by Deb Schnitta

Imagine having an easy way to connect your personality with your Soul so that ALL the support of your Soul was available every day to your personality.

What would your daily life look like with Soul connection?
How does connecting with your Soul make your life better?

Partnership with the Soul is a very powerful connection. And as we show you how easy that can be (and give you an exercise to help you bridge between your personality and Soul) let me ask you one quick question:

Which do you want, ease or struggle?

When given a choice this way, the answer seems rather obvious, right?

Yet the personality creates through trial and error.

And that is where it starts to get tricky.

But great news, I have that easy button for you, to get you started on finding ease in all of your creations.

If we start with the understanding that the personality creates through trial and error.

Trial and error are not aligned with ease.

Instead, we keep trying something, hoping it will work.

Or we explore scenarios in our mind, looking for the “right” answer. (Hello 2am tossing and turning anyone?)

As the mind cycles repeatedly like a hamster in a cage, frustration or even exhaustion sets in.

Eventually making a choice seems impossible.

As human beings of choice, why would we pick options that represent lesser flow and often involve struggle?

Don’t blame yourself.

As personalities, we exist in polarity.

We learn through right and wrong.

The mind categorizes life events as good and bad.

It’s how the system of the mind works!

But there is great news (and it is where that easy button starts to show up!)

As we step outside this polarity's confines, we enter the domain of higher flows.

How this higher flow connection shows up can vary.

It may be that your mind views a moment from a larger perspective.

Or that your heart opens to your Soul's compassion when faced with a challenge.

So how can we make this expanded perspective common ground, a pervasive companion in our daily lives?

Step One: recognize that all of life is choice.
(I know, this seems basic, but stick with me. The powerful impact of simple choices is at play!)

So here's the thing, not all choices are conscious.

Many choices exist just at the edge of awareness, nagging at us, elusive, yet influencing our actions.

Unconscious or not, it is, nevertheless, a choice.

We may choose the hard road simply because it is familiar.

It can seem more uncomplicated for the mind to continue as it has always known a situation rather than changing the course of action.

If we make this choice of keeping things the same, we persevere, often from survival orientation.

We are in this moment reaffirming our commitment to existing as a personality.

We have forgotten our alignment with our own higher consciousness for that brief glimmer.

When we step outside this orientation, we say to the Universe, "I desire to create differently. "

This desire opens the doorway to very different opportunities, often ones the mind could not even dream…

The orientation of the Soul is to create from a place of ease.

Each time we, as a personality, use intention to align with ease, we strengthen our connection to our Soul.

The stronger this connection, the more supported the personality is in daily life. AND the greater the opportunity to live a life of purpose, what you came here as a Soul to create and experience.

Each time we recognize we have not made a choice consistent with ease we are at the precipice of a golden moment.

That single moment of awareness is the opportunity to pause and to stop the habituated patterns.

To make a different choice in the moment

To realign in the larger flows.

Exercise: 4 simple steps to shift your creations to ease.

1. Set your intention each morning to create with ease.

2. Throughout the day, fall back and disconnect from the busy pace of life for a few moments.

3. Then take a few deep breaths and reconnect with your intention for ease.

4. Take inventory.  At the end of the day, reflect on the events that have transpired.

  • How have the choices you have made today added to the presence of ease?
  • How have they detracted?

Try not to judge, but simply notice neutrally the awareness that emerges.
(This helps bring the process of creation back to the forefront, rather than old habits that no longer serve you.)

Each time we recognize the choices the personality makes, both conscious and unconscious, we learn about ourselves more fully.

We may recognize that we are not yet using all of our gifts as fully as we would like.

We may notice previously unseen opportunities and open to the largeness of what waits.

Or we may notice an inner strength, as the personality is supported more consciously by its partner the Soul.

In this way, we align with ease, recognize choice, and expand our awareness to include all the parts of who we are.

Life is truly more fulfilling, a reflection of our larger desires and purpose.

Here’s to all your creations of ease!
