Information
You don,t need the exact above plan displayed above,
but with these display layouts you can get an idea of the price.
The price is based on slabs used.
So if you go to another half slab that is what you have to pay for.
If you plan is similar but not larger then that is what you pay.
Hard or easy?
Stone is actually easy to do but is very heavy.
You require a minimum of 2 strong persons.
Method of installation in steps
(1)----------- Lay the first slab on the installed cabinets.into position.
(A) if 20 mm lay on top of cabinets.
(B) if 40 mm build up cabinets with a 20 mm pine strip.
(2)-------- Lay the second slab into position with the premade joint.
(you may have to wedge up the granite from underneath to make joint level).
(3) Pull the joint slightly apart and squeeze in the araldite or resin.
(4)----------- Push the tops together squeezing the glue out on top.
(5)---------------------- Clean off the excess with a rag with cleaner.
After full top is in position and joints are dry, then cut in sink and cooktop.
(1) Using a grinder with diamond blade finish off the pre-done tracks.
( you will have to support the interior pieces to stop them falling hard on to the middle shelf )
( Use the wife's brand new vacuum to suck up the dust while grinding )
(Do not let dust get into the soft close drawer mechanisms)
(2) Get under the bench top with liquid nails and give a few spots a squirt to hold in place.
"Well blue eyes, there you have it."
"You are now an expert."
