Agapanthus

Agapanthus are South African tender perennials that are grown for their showy 4-8" globe-shaped blue or white flowerheads which last up to 2 months.  Also known as "Lily of the Nile" or "African Lily," they make excellent container plants or can be planted out in the garden in warmer climates. 

An ideal garden plant in the Deep South.

Agapanthus Alba has large clusters of 12 to 30 bell-shaped, white flowers with attractive amaryllis-like foliage. Easy to grow, it thrives on neglect. A very good container plant. Full sun to part sun. Also known as Lily of the Nile or African Lily.

Agapanthus Blue Donau is grown for its showy flowers. A popular variety, Donau grows about two feet tall with big, 7 to 8 inch globe-shaped flowers which will bloom up to 2 months. Each floret is pale blue inside, with a light purple blush and a shade darker on the outside. Also known as Lily of the Nile or African Lily.
