Ixia (Corn Lilies)

Ixia stems bear a dozen or more 6-petalled stars.  In warm climates (zones 9-10) you can leave them in the ground.  Farther north you will need to lift or grow them in a container on a patio or at the base of a warm, sunny wall.  Excellent as cut flowers.

Our Ixia Mixture (also known as 'African Corn Lily') consists of brilliant star-shaped flowers of yellow, white, rose and pink that seem to float on wiry stems. The blooms (10-20 flowers per stem) are arranged spirally around the stems so as to be pretty from all sides.
