Rosson, Jesse DeePahrump, Nevada - passed away in Las Vegas, Nev. on Jan. 24, 2014 at the age of 63. Jesse was born on Jan. 15, 1951. A Memorial was held March 1, 2014 at Choice Hills Baptist Church, 340 W Mesquite Ave, Pahrump. Donations can be made to Childrens Ministry at church.
Al JonesALVIN "BIG AL" JONES After a lengthy and arduous battle with neuropathy and leukemia, Alvin "Big Al" Jones passed away and went home to be with the Lord May 9, 2015 at the age of 83. Alvin was born in Chicago, Ill. on March 16, 1932. He joined the United States Marine Corps after high school, and served in Kobe, Japan and Inchon, South Korea with the 1st Marine Division as one of the "Chosin Few" at Chosin Reservoir, South Korea. Upon his return to the United States, he joined the Illinois National Guard and rose to the rank of 2nd Lieutenant. Afterwards, Alvin worked as a Chicago Policeman for 14 years, and the WGN TV Station for 30 years. In 1999, he retired and moved to Pahrump, Nevada and began working as a TV talk-show host and special reporter for KPVM TV. Alvin was very active in the Pahrump Valley Marine Corps League, Detachment 1199. He always made a point of reaching out to others, to share a smile and offer words of encouragement to all whom he met. He was a loving brother, father, grandfather, and friend to many. He is survived by his brother, Alfonso; his daughter Pamela and son-in-law Amara; grandsons: Philip, William, Julian, Nicholas; nieces; nephews; and many other relatives. The burial will take place Thursday, May 28, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, Nevada 89005. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Pahrump Disabled American Veterans Chapter 15 for Veterans Services.
Glenn Lee BooselGLENN LEE BOOSEL, 83, passed away Jan. 6, 2017 at his home in Pahrump after a lengthy illness. He was born September 18, 1933, in Chicora, Penn., to the late William and Sara Ellen (Swope) Boosel. Glenn was a 1951 graduate of Chicora High School, where he was a varsity member of the rifle team. He received many awards from the National Rifle Association, including the distinction of Sharp Shooter. After graduating high school, Glenn enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1951. He later enlisted in the United States Air Force, and continued to serve for 21 years until his retirement in July, 1973. On May 19, 1956, Glenn married Wilma Pauline Shoemaker of Wabash, Ind. Glenn and Wilma were married for 55 years before her death in 2012. Glenn had many hobbies including woodworking and metalworking. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and especially enjoyed participating in charity poker runs with his wife. They traveled the country on their motorcycle together. Glenn was an active member of the Elks Club and Marine Corps League in Pahrump, Nev. He was passionately involved with the Toys For Tots organization serving the children of Nye County, Nev. Along with his wife, Glenn enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, and will be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his wife, Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, sister Sarah Jane Boosel, and two grandchildren. Glenn is survived by his daughter, Margit A. Boosel (David) Gaffin; sons: Glenn A. Boosel, Ronald L. (Jodi) Boosel, and William G. Boosel; grandchildren: Paula, Glenn, Neal, Sara, Kaylee, Braden and Bryon; brother, Walter (Eleanor) Boosel, and several nieces and nephews. Viewing will be held at Davis Funeral Home in Las Vegas, Nev., from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on January 13, 2017, with services and full military honor burial to immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice or Toys For Tots organization.

Donald Czerwinski "Ski"DONALD F. CZERWINSKI (Donny, SKI), age 74, passed away April 18, 2018 at Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas. He was born in Milwaukee, Wis. June 10, 1943. Donny served honorably as a Marine during the Vietnam war. He and his wife moved to Pahrump in 1997. He had been a part of the Marine Corps League in Pahrump since 2007. Donny is survived by his wife, Bonnie Wittig; son, Michael (Elizabeth) Czerwinski, daughter, Donna (Troy) Steward; stepsons, Ron Wittig and Shane Stolowski; grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter. A Memorial Service will be held at the A Memorial Service was held at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

Mel BaumanMELVIN C. BAUMAN, 87, passed away June 24, 2018, peacefully at home in Pahrump. He was born July 13, 1930, in Detroit, Michigan. He moved from Henderson to Pahrump 17 years ago. Melvin served in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from management at Coca-Cola and Dr. Pepper.
