Ryan
Moor, a 23 year old from Vancouver Washington, has been involved in running his
own business since he was 16. Because he could set his own hours and make good
money, he endured hard, cold work, as he washed windows, pressure washed in the
summer, and put up Christmas lights during the holidays.
However, since attending a StoresOnline seminar and workshop, Ryan has ventured
into a profitable online business providing screen-printing kits and supplies.
In February 2004, Ryan and his father received an invitation to attend a Stores
Online seminar. They attended and soon became interested in the StoresOnline
software and marketing material. Ryan had some experience with building Web
sites for his music band, but was intrigued by StoresOnline's marketing material
and by the Store Builder's functionality and ease of use with regard to constructing
a site.
"The way StoresOnline's software is integrated with the marketing system,
I thought it would be really good and much easier for me to do," Ryan says.
After attending the workshop, Ryan's father purchased StoresOnline Web site
licenses and explained to Ryan how he could make a profitable business at relatively
low cost. In fact, the cost of the StoresOnline package was a drop in a bucket
compared to the money his father was shelling out for his brother's private
college tuition.
Before Ryan got his StoresOnline site up and running, it was important to
him that his site be professional and perfect. To achieve a professional appearance
for his Web site, Ryan received help and training from the StoresOnline Customer
Service team, who he says were "very helpful."
Because Ryan wanted perfection before going live on the Internet, his site
took a couple of months to build and fine-tune before he published it in May
2004.
Ryan had already sold screen-printing kits on EBay, with sales averaging USD
$500-600 per month. Once he began to market his kits with professional pictures,
he saw his sales jump to $10,000 per month. Then, after his StoresOnline site
was up on the Internet and running well, he began to realize sales averaging
$16,000 per month, a $6,000 increase. In fact, sales continued to rise to where
they now average around $70,000 per month.
The revenue generated by his Web site allowed Ryan to quit his window-washing
job and focus on the demands of selling screen-printing kits and supplies. Not
only has the success of his site created a new job for himself, but Ryan has
also hired three additional employees to help out with his thriving business.
Ryan attributes his success to the training he received from the StoresOnline
seminar, workshop, and Customer Service team.
"I've learned everyday since the seminar on, and I continue learning everyday.
¿ The coaching that StoresOnline provided was very intuitive and taught
me a lot. It provided extra tips that helped our Web site gain more hits and
more sales," Ryan says. "Because of doing it myself [building and
maintaining his site], and being out in the field working, I've learned so much
more in the last seven months than I ever learned in two years of college business
classes."
To those considering whether to sign on with StoresOnline, Ryan says he would
definitely suggest it.
"It is very easy to use-easy to get hits and draw people to your Web site,"
he says. "StoresOnline has a lot of training and coaching available, plus
customer service. I think it has helped my business grow tremendously. I would
recommend going with them. Of course, it takes a lot of hard work, but you got
to keep your pedal to the metal as they say."
And putting the pedal to the metal is exactly what Ryan is continuing to do.
Ryan's next site will be devoted to providing t-shirts on a wholesale level,
allowing interested customers to purchase all of their screen-printing supplies
and t-shirts from his sites.
